POLICIES & FEES
*Registration: All students must pay an enrollment fee $25.00 per student. This is an annual fee and covers the student from September through the following August. Summer session requires filling out a new registration form.
Before any student may participate in class, we must have a signed registration agreement accompanied by the registration fee and first month's class fee. For your protection, please notify the office in writing before the 1st day of the next month of any changes in registration status.
*Tuition: Tuition is a monthly fee, regardless if it is a “long” month or a “short” month. Tuition is due the 1st class of each month. A late fee of $5.00 will be charged to the account if the payment is not received in full by the 15th of the month. Payment envelopes are available in the office and there is a payment box on the front counter, and a mail slot next to the door of “The Dancer’s Edge” retail shop. You may also pay from our website www.danceworksgj.com. There is a returned check fee of $20.00.
* Refunds: There are no refunds or credits for classes in which the student is enrolled but fails to attend.
*Missed Classes: Students are encouraged to make up missed classes. Missed classes may be made up within the same month as the missed class, or the month following the missed class. Make up classes are to be scheduled through the office. Missed classes are not pro-rated. Make up classes cannot be substituted for tuition payments.
*Attire: Leotard & tights and the appropriate dance shoes are required for all ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, & tap classes. Ballet IV, V, intermediate, and advanced level ballet classes, including pointe and ballet ensemble are required to wear black leotard and pink tights. All competition classes are required to wear black leotard and tan tights. Hip hop students must wear jazz shoes or jazz sneakers and are permitted to wear shorts and T-shirts but NO JEANS.
*Hair: Hair pulled back & secured off the face and neck. All ballet classes require a bun.
*Observation of classes: In order for your dancer to maintain concentration and focus, Dance Works has a “no observation” policy. Thank you for your cooperation. Parent visitation week is Dec. 14-20.
*Parking: Additional parking is available in the lot behind the studio and on Sparn Street. For your safety and the safety of others, please enter & exit Dance Works from Sparn Street, rather than North Avenue.
