Dance Class Descriptions

Pre-Ballet
Designed for dancers ages 3-4, the childern learn basic ballet steps, play movement games and work on their gross motor skills.

Ballet and Pointe
Dancers are taught primarily Cechetti technique (Italian school), but other styles are also identified and introduced.

Jazz
A blending of technique styles are taught including, but not limited to, Luigi, Giordano, Hatchett, Tremaine. Jazz incorporates many turns and leaps.

Competition/Performance
Designed for the exceptionally motivated student whose extra-curricular priority is dance.

Lyrical/Contemporary
A style of dance incorporating either or both ballet and jazz technique, interpreting the lyrics of a song through movement.

Tap
Teaches the dancer how to articulate the feet. Great for developing rhythm and coordination.

Tribal Style Belly Dance
American Tribal Style drills and intermediate tribal fusion belly dance.

Black Tie Ballroom
Introduction to swing, rumba, waltz and foxtrot.
