Dance Works was founded in 1980 by Kathryn J. Schulte.  Since its conception, Dance Works has taken pride in providing quality dance instruction in the Grand Valley and continues to be the most respected dance studio in Grand Junction.  All teachers at Dance Works are well-qualified dance instructors with extensive dance experience.  Dance Works offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Pom & Drill, Polynesian, Middle Eastern, Taiji-Qigong, Competition, Ballroom, and Body Works.  We are now offering classes in Yoga and Break Dancing. Dance Works competition teams compete and perform at regional and national events including Dance Caravan, Dance Educators of America, Spotlight Dance Cup, Showbiz and others.  Dance Works is also home to the Dance Works Connection, an elite performance company created by Kathryn in 1987.  Dance Works has trained a multitude of dancers who have continued their dancing in the professional dance world. 

Dance Works is the only studio in the Grand Valley to produce a full-length ballet annually, complete with sets, custom made costumes, and classical music.  Dance Works also produces an annual recital format concert, providing opportunities for all students to have experience performing on stage.
